Complex
Materials: Bamboo slats
This sculpture visualizes the psychic architecture of a Jungian complex—tangled, autonomous, and emotionally charged. The piece contains two bulbous nodes: one that appear as twin spheres of psychic density.
Their precarious connection hints at the way two unconscious entities can become entangled, influencing one another in unseen ways. One might represent the origin; the other, its echo—parent and child, past and present, trauma and defense.
Ultimately, “Complex” explores the uncomfortable beauty of the unresolved. It asks: what happens when the mind builds its own architecture to contain pain—and then lives inside it?
