Maquettes

Maquettes function as a testing ground for larger sculptural and installation works. Built from small bamboo strips and sticks, they allow structural ideas to emerge through direct experimentation rather than predetermined plans.

Their reduced scale makes the underlying construction more immediate, revealing joints, counterweights and improvised solutions as part of the visual language of the piece.
