‘Outer Rim’ Coffee Table

Another Star Wars–themed piece of furniture, Outer Rim takes its name from the remote Outer Rim region of the galaxy, where Luke Skywalker’s home planet, Tatooine, is located.

Bamboo carries a similar sensibility: a material that feels both backwater and futuristic at the same time.

The table is made from three different types of bamboo. The legs are Chinese Moso; the side beams are a form of Java black bamboo (though the speckling suggests it may be a variety of tiger bamboo); and the tabletop elements are Cambodian Bambusa blumeana.
